Mostly good, but a small hiccup

I used a coupon to save a bit on my latest Becos order, which was nice. I've ordered from them before, mostly for things like the Tea ceremony sets, and their quality is usually really consistent. This time around, I picked up some Wajima lacquerware, and it's beautiful, just as expected from traditional Japanese crafts. My only complaint is that the shipping took a little longer than usual, pushing it past the estimated delivery date. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme, but it was a bit inconvenient. Still, the products themselves are always authentic and lovely, which is why I keep coming back.

Sake set was nice

I bought a Sake set, and it was pretty much as pictured on the site. The porcelain felt sturdy and the design was subtle. It took about ten days to get here after I ordered it, which was a bit longer than I hoped, but not terrible. Everything was packed well, so no damage, which is key for fragile stuff. Overall, it's a solid set for the price I paid.

Great quality, quick delivery

I'm a returning customer and decided to get some more Imabari towels, since the ones I bought last year are still holding up perfectly. This order was just as smooth as the previous ones. I placed the order on a Monday, and it shipped out by Wednesday. It arrived the following week, which is pretty good for international shipping. The towels themselves are super soft and absorbent, exactly what I expected. Packaging was secure, no issues there. Their consistency is why I keep coming back for Japanese crafts.

Beautiful Katana letter opener

I ordered a Katana letter opener and it's absolutely stunning! The craftsmanship is incredible. It arrived super fast, even to the US. I'm so happy with it and will definitely be shopping here again. I've already told my sister about your store!

I'm looking at the Edo Kiriko glasses, but I'm worried about them arriving broken. How do they package fragile items?

They pack really well. I got some delicate Kutani ware plates and they were super secure in a lot of bubble wrap and sturdy box.

How long does shipping usually take to California? Trying to get a Kintsugi kit for a friend's birthday next month.

It can vary, but I got my Arita ware ceramics in about 10-14 days last time. It wasn't super fast but not bad for international.

I'd say give it at least two weeks to be safe. Sometimes customs can hold things up a bit.

Is this store like, actually real? Or one of those dropshipping sites that just resells stuff?

M Mark N. 2 months ago
Totally real. I've ordered a few times, good quality products and everything arrived securely.

They specialize in traditional crafts so it's not some random cheap stuff. Very reputable.

Hey, thinking about grabbing one of those fancy chef knives. Are these things actually legit Japanese steel, or like, tourist trap quality?

D David 1 month ago
Nah, they're the real deal. I got a Nambu Tekki tea set last year and it's super high quality, so I'd imagine the knives are too.

From what I heard, they only work with actual artisans. So yeah, should be proper stuff.

Do they offer any discounts for first-time buyers? Thinking of getting a full tea ceremony set.
